C&T magazine Announces International
Technology Award Winners
During the 2008 HBA Awards Dinner, held in NY on Sept. 9,
2008, Cosmetics & Toiletries magazine announced the International
Technology award recipients for best new technology and best
new technology launch.
As in 2006 with Bodyfit™,
Sederma won an Award for its Essenskin™ campaign.
The New Technology Launch Award acknowledges the uniqueness
and impact that a new technology launch (marketing campaign)
has made on the industry.
Essenskin™
is a cosmetic active ingredient designed for 60+ skin care.
According to the company, the cosmetic care for very mature
skin needs to fulfil three objectives: procuring skin comfort;
combating sagging, dehydration and dull complexion; and remaining
as close to natural as possible. To reveal the anti-aging
efficacy of Essenskin™, the company evaluated a typical parameter
of youth skin transparency with a Goniophotometer, a new device
measuring light reflectance on skin. |

industry is investing 2 million euros in new facilities at
their site at Le Perray en Yvelines (France). The new investment
will increase their current facility by around 50% and cover
all aspects of the business from R&D and manufactory to
administration and warehousing.
The new complex has been built to accommodate Sederma's growing
success in the cosmetic industry and will enable them to optimise
safety and environmental work as part of their ISO 14001 certification.
